(no camo at this time) What is Stippling? The term stipple is used to describe a random pattern of small depressions applied to a surface to increase the friction and make the surface easier to grip. This process is similar to knurling or checkering, but is often used on complex curved surfaces, such as anatomical grips, where a regular pattern would not fit. Stippling can be cast into plastic objects, or applied with a hammer and punch to wood or metal objects. Stippled Frames (Stipple& DuraCoat)

Norrels Moly Resin
Moly Resin™ is a product trademark of John Norrell Inc. These finishes are specifically formulated from a phenolic resin base and molybdenum disulfide (a superior lubricant) with an exclusive blend of additives only available through Norrell Manufacturing. Our additives create a phenolic coating that is hard, durable, and extremely chemical and heat resistant. Our special low temperature catalyst will cause the Resin to harden and bond to the surface to form a barrier to acids, oils, paint removers, powder solvents, bore cleaners and other strong industrial solvents. The low curing temperature prevents possible heat damage to parts during the curing process. We select our phenolic base stocks from hundreds offered by Dow Corning and 3M. The combination of the most suitable base stock, our additives, and molybdenum creates a truly unique coating that represents state-of-the-art technology. No other thermally cured firearm finish available on the market today has the same characteristics and properties that Moly Resin™ offers the professional gunsmith or home hobbyist. Moly Resin™ is a coating developed for ordnance usage on equipment and weapons, providing excellent corrosion protection, abrasion resistance and lubricity to meet automatic weapon dry firing requirements after 60 days seawater immersion. Available ready to apply. No thinning or dilution is needed.
Cerekote
With a unique ceramic backbone, CerakoteTM Firearm Coatings improve performance and reliability over conventional finishes. This state-of-the-art coating technology out-performs any competitive coating in both laboratory settings and real world applications.
The Caustic Bluing process of a firearm is by far the cornerstone of the gunsmithing finishing process.. Few Gunsmithing operations are as gratifying as seeing a rusted and badly abused firearm turned into a , rich, blue-black finished firearm. Imagine bringing back to life a tired rusted barrel by turning into a deep rich polished black-blue finish. Although this process isn't incredibly difficult, it is very timely and extensive, with precise temperature measurements to create a perfect controlled rust. Who would ever think that rust could be such a vibrant quality to the firearms steel, with one of the strongest finishes known to the business.
